Q1: Charles is happy to use the AF App you have recommended but is struggling to access it and has asked you to help him during his appointment.
A: I would offer to help Charles with the setting up and navigation of the App during the appointment if time allows.
I would then recommend that he familiarises himself with the App and if it is not working then offer to revisit this at the next appointment.

Q2: Charles is keen to return to riding his bike but is unsure when or if he can do this now.
A: I would advise Charles that exercise and adopting a healthy lifestyle is key to better health and wellbeing and if it is something he enjoys then it can only be a good thing. This is providing he has had the go-ahead from physicians to exercise after his treatment.

Q3. Charles is concerned about his risk of stroke in the future. He asks you about the signs of a stroke.
A: It is always a good thing to be aware of the potential health risks associated with a condition that you may have and I would certainly advise Charles and people around him to be knowledgeable in stroke assessment.
Having someone with Charles at all times is not physically possible as he lives alone. I would advise him to make people that he knows aware (work colleagues, friends and family) of his condition so that they can intervene with getting him immediate treatment if his condition worsens.
