Question 1 – I think Allie has been prescribed antibiotics because of her chest infection which will be contributing towards her symptoms and making it more difficult to correctly assess what is causing her asthma exacerbation.

Question 2 – Allie needs to be careful using her brown inhaler because it contains steroids which can have side effects including sore throat, cough, nosebleeds, thrush and if taken long term they can cause increased appetite, mood swings and difficulty sleeping.

Question 3 – Regarding her cat, Allie could take anti allergy medicines, wash her hands after contact with the pet, hoover and ventilate the house regularly or consider replacing the cat with a hairless variety.
