1. Diabetes, high BP (on hypertension medication), stress of family and work commitments
2. As a sign of infection or sepsis indicator
3. Making sure his medication is not oral also as he won’t be able to drink water. Its important he is monitored as well because the drugs may have a different affect with/without food. He shouldn’t be given any NSAIDs which could cause stomach ulcer.
