1. I would focus on assessing the patient first, checking observations and vital signs.
2. I would then check his catheter , checking its not causing him any pain or discomfort, and that he is draining fluid well, check colour etc.
3. I would explain the situation to Bibi and what will be happening whilst he is in hospital. What the next step would be etc.
4. call his wife to let her know of his admission
