Q1. I would choose option 2, I would ask Charles what in particular he is struggling with and try to show him in the simplest way how to use the features he needs to. I would also recommend Charles to keep persevering with the app and if at the next appointment he still couldn’t manage using it then I would explore other options. I could also contact Charles in a few days / week to see how hes getting on and offer support.
Q2. I would choose option 3, ask Charles to speak to the medical team and the specialist nurses so they can advise accurately and slowly re-introduce Charles back to rising his bike.
Q3. I would choose option 1, as Charles is at increases risk of CVA it is important to highlight the signs and symptoms of a stroke to him. It would also be helpful to give Charles information on how to make lifestyle changes that reduce his risk of having a stroke.
