Every woman looks forward to giving birth and holding there bundle of joy in there arms. As we all know Pregnacy its a journey that no one can determine how the journey will end. At this point in sarah’s life this would not have been a journey she expected nor envisaged and so because of this, The situation will be very challenging and traumatic for sarah. Futhermore after child birth most woman go through what is called baby blues and alot of hormonal changes in there body, Some go thorugh post natal depression some are aware of this while others can not tell they are going through it. Therefore it will be difficult for sarah not to be able to see her baby. In helping sarah to resolve this i will put a call across to the hospital and tell them of sarah’s request. I will ask them if we can call with the hospital’s ipad so that sarah can see theo. Also i will findout what time is appropraite and best for such a call and what there procedures are for such request and the best way they hope we can both resolve it so that sarah can see and speak to theo. Sarah needs alot of resassurances and support. I will ensure i follow this up and see if a time table can be mapped out for sarah for this and how often she can speak to theo. If Sarah’s situation is not managed properly she can have a mental break down remembering the fact that her C section didnt go well too and she is still in pain and also recuperating from the C section. Subsequently Sarah request needs to be granted so that a part of her that feels emprty because of the absence of her child can be fulfilled and she will be reassured that her baby is in good hands and well taken care of in the hospital where he is presently. This will help sarah to cope and adjust to her situation.
