Question 3 I would try and speak to Sarah by reassuring her and making her understand that her decision to self discharge herself will not be in her own self interest. I will have a one to one chat with Sarah explaining to her the risk involved in such a decision reminding her that she has just had a C section and she was injured in the process and she needs to heal properly before she can be discharged and also the fact that she can be exposed to infection that might not be good for health and this will post some complications to her health. I will try work with her to create an action plan with her so that it can be passed to the head nurse, So that her concerns can be treated and we can find a way forward in assisting her to see her son more. Furthermore this will give Sarah some support and reassurance and it will also reduce her level of frustration. All this will help Sarah to adjust properly and get well quickly so that she will have the strength to care for her son when they are both discharged home from the hospital.
