I feel that if we are keeping in mind person-centred care the focus should be on both patients, the mother and the baby. if there is no harm in facilitating video calls between the mother and the baby then it should be done so as long as the other hospital is also able to make it happen however we also need to keep in mind factors that may effect this happening such as time and staff; if there are staff available to facilitate this and if we can arrange suitable times to carry this out that would suit all parties involved (the mother, staff and the other hospital staff). We need to ensure communication and transparency with the mother when we are unable to facilitate the call and explain why.
