Q1- I would choose option 2. Technology is quite advanced, and elderly patients are not as familiar with smart phones and technology that is out there. It is important to be patient with elderly patients and make sure that we provide as much education and information in the least complex format. It may be that Charles needs to be shown more than once and will then get the hang of how to use the app. Also the information that will be stored on the app is vital, so it is important it is understood and read correctly.

Q2- I would choose option 3. Charles needs medical re-assurance before taking part in any physical activity that could be deemed risky. If Charles is exercising too much while he is frail he will put his health at risk, therefore i would recommend that Charles seeks medical advice on when he is able to return to cycling.

Q3- I would choose option 1 out of the three. I would chose this because out of the options available this seems more logical. If Charles notices a change within himself and he has been given details of the symptoms of a stroke he may be able to act quickly before he deteriorates. However if Charles was mid-stroke he may not be fully alert enough to notice the symptoms for himself, especially if it is a sudden and severe stroke. Therefore i do think it would be beneficial for him to have somebody with him as frequent as possible. Charles may not have the time to call 999 himself depending on the severity and speed of the stroke. I was conflicted with this answer.
