Q1. I will choose options 2 and 3 as it is important to understand that because the wound isn’t in the same situation as before you would need to reassess the wound noting it down in the wound assessment plan as now they would require a different plan for the dressing and also referring it to GP would be a good idea as they would have the updated information as to what requirements need to be provided for them.
Q2. I will choose option 2 because it is very important for Farhan to understand what’s happening and get involved in the care that’s provided. I would try my best to avoid using medical jargon as this might be helpful for certain patients and also reassess with him and ask him if he’s understood after the information has been provided to him also provide information to his relatives as well so they understand too. However, because he is the main patient getting the care it definitely has to be under his requirements above anyone else’s.
Q3. I will choose option 2 because every patient has different requirements and as part of the care, it is vital for patients to be treated with respect and as an individual.
