I will focus on my patients first , his vital signs needs to be monitored especially BP , whilst doing that I will keep a close eye on catheter to see how much is draining per hour and that will give me an idea if the catheter is draining well enough or he’s retaining . I will also discuss with him the plan for the next 24hrs , also keep him informed about his health and what’s going on but reassure him based on what I know and the plan for the next stage … I will ask for a consent from Bibi if he’s ok with me contacting his wife .
