1. I would discuss outcomes as reported to me by senior staff with Sarah, also I would attempt to prepare her for the shock of seeing Theo in neonatal setup. I would warn her that it may be a shock, prepare her for the noise and how Theo will look and attempt to reassure
2. This is a difficult one, maybe she needs privacy but then again, maybe she needs support. I would reassure and see if she wanted to talk,
3, I would advise that her not being well herself may turn out detrimental to Theo as she could become unwell or deteriorate if she pushes herself too hard while he is in care and won’t be well enough to care for him when he is discharged home. I would reassure that video calls are available any time and staff would support her with this connection
