SO most people chose to make the phone call about another video call in Q1. That was my initial thought, but if she’s just had one an hour ago, would it be practical to request another so soon? I think Helen (apologies if not) mentioned finding out the hospital’s policy for video call frequency – sounds like a good idea. I think you can’t necessarily fulfil a patient’s request immediately, so chose option to let her know I’ve heard her request and will get back to her. I think this is realistic for the ward setting, though it’s all about communicating in a kind and compassionate way, taking care to sound dismissive or abrupt.
