As others have said, recognition of individual behaviours is important. Clear communication and collaboration with healthcare professionals, the patient and their families and carers, will be key in providing the best care possible. Receiving appropriate training and being knowledgeable of learning disabilities and issues surrounding the difficulties and inequalities in healthcare would be an excellent asset for nurses.
